An 180,000 square foot former department store converted to a contemporary mixed-use facility. The building — located at the corner of Eighth and Market Streets — was once home to Loveman’s and Proffit’s department stores. The 2001 renovations created retail and commercial space on the first and second floors, with condominiums and preparations for two penthouses. On the roof below the penthouse level, an outdoor garden and patio was included, and an attached L-shaped garage was constructed next door.

To preserve the architecture of the building, elements such as arched windows and iron capitals on columns which were incorporated into the design. Andy Smith served as a consultant on historic preservation for this project.
