A new building on a ten-acre site services Cookeville/Putnam County Animal Shelter. The structure features CMU load-bearing walls, pre-engineered wood trusses, a shingle roof, fiber cement lap siding, epoxy-coated concrete floors, and fiber-reinforced plastic doors and frames. The P.E.T. Care campus includes a humane shelter, an off-leash dog park, a pre-adoption play area, spay/neuter clinic, dog runs, an education center, and a dog-training area.
