Blue Ridge Elementary School

A classroom addition of 14,000 square feet was carefully placed to minimize earthwork. In this area of construction, an existing well had to be abandoned, a fueling station and tanks demolished and abated, and unsuitable soils removed. The school children had to have safe egress throughout construction through the job-site to access the detached gymnasium and play ground area.

Despite the many challenges of the site, the owner was able to maintain full use of its adjacent facilities throughout construction.
